The 5hr Panoramic/Private e-bike tour was exactly what I had hoped for on my 5th trip to Japan. I’ve wanted to meet & connect w/ local people in order to better understand the culture & share in their own experiences. Initially I booked the 2.5hr flat tour thru the countryside, but upgraded at the mention of a new tour our guide offered. Shinji, our local guide spoke perfect English; we stopped to visit of a couple local farms, enjoyed a light snack & tea made from the fresh spring water & visited a shrine in the hills. Most of ride was flat thru country lanes & backstreets while the last part was a little more challenging for myself w/ a 6km climb up the mountain. However, the e-bike made it easier considering I am not a highly athletic person & biking up a trail we had all to ourselves was the best part. At the top, the view was amazing even though it got a little cloudy. We had a delicious lunch provided by a local chef & were able to relax & chat more with Shinji before returning to the town. This is the perfect tour if you wish to stray away from packed tourist sites & learn about the local culture & people. We enjoyed the experience so much that we’re considering a return in the spring.
